Dallas, TX - Dallas Christian College is pleased to announce the release of the 2019-2020 Women's Volleyball schedule. This season is special because Quanesha Speed-Smalls enters her first year as the Lady Crusaders' head coach. Coach Speed-Smalls is eager to take the reigns and put her stamp on the volleyball program.
"We are excited about the start of the 2019 Volleyball season coming up in August and we are eager to see the program under the direction of Coach Speed-Smalls. The schedule kicks off with Spikefest in Ankeny, IA with a double-dip of games on Friday, August 30, against Grace Christian (MI) and Faith Baptist Bible. The Crusaders round out the weekend on Saturday, August 31, against Oak Hills Christian.
Region play is set to start on September 10 against Southwestern Adventist University. The first week of October looks to be an important one. The Crusaders find themselves traveling for back-to-back road games that weekend against Kansas Christian on October 4, and Ozark Christian on October 5. These come after a home game against Jarvis Christian on October 2, a game that coach Speed-Smalls likely has circled on her calendar. The Crusaders must travel for three more conference road tilts in October against Arlington Baptist (October 15), Manhattan Christian (October 24), and Randall University (October 25).
Once the season concludes, the Crusaders will switch their focus to regional and national tournaments. The team will travel to a familiar location in Joplin, MO as the NCCAA Southwest regional tournament will be played at Ozark Christian College November 7-9 and The NCCAA Division II national tournament will be played at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC November 20-22.
