Men's and Women's Basketball Release 2019-20 Schedule

Dallas, TX, It seems as though basketball season just came to a close, but Dallas Christian College is thrilled to release both the Men's and Women's Basketball schedules for 2019-20

Coach Jordan Strom is very excited about his team and the opportunity to make a real impact this season. "We are looking forward to the opportunity to be challenged on the floor this next year. We take on 2019 NCAA D1 Tournament qualifier Abilene Christian University and work our way back into the Lonestar Conference (NCAA D2), Sooner Athletic (NAIA) and Red River Conference (NAIA) before we get into NCCAA play. It will, without a doubt, challenge us and make us better," said Coach Strom.

The men kick their season off on the road with Sterling College (KS) on October 30th. They turn the calendar on a new month but aren't finished in the state on Kansas just yet. The Crusaders will be taking part in the CCC Classic for Christ in McPherson, KS. They will play Central Christian (KS) on November 8th and then Manhattan Christian on November 9th. The end of November always brings warm feeling about home and that will be no different for the Crusaders as they finally return to Dallas to play their first home game against Barclay.

December brings a unique opportunity as the men will host the 2019 DCC Christmas Tournament. They will play two games, Faith Baptist Bible on December 16th and either Ecclesia/Southwestern on December 17th.

January 10th is the date of the first conference game, on the road against Champion Christian. With three more home conference games to wrap up the month, January 21st against Arlington Baptist, January 23rd against Southwestern Adventist, and January 25th against Kansas Christian. Return games will follow in the month of February with each of those teams, not to mention a pair of games against Randall. The host Randall at home on February 8th and then close the regular season on February 20th at their place.

The NCCAA SW Regional Tournament will take place February 26-29 at Manhattan Christian College.

The women are led by Coach Jessica Richter, who is entering her third campaign.

Coach Richter and her group of Crusaders are eager for the challenge this season will bring. "I am extremely excited about this upcoming season. We are continuing to build a solid foundation here in our program. We have a great blend of experience and youth comprising our roster this season. I am confident that that through our daily habits of excellence, hard work, and positivity, we will be able to compete out on the court."

The women will kick off their season on November 1st against Southern Nazarene. They close out the month with four straight home games all against out of conference opponents. That trend continues into December with out of conference contests against Oklahoma Baptist on December 3rd, Howard Payne on December 13th and at home against Crowley's Ridge (Ark) on December 19th.

Champion Christian host the Crusaders on January 10th, and then they will switch gears and host a pair of home conference games against Arlington Baptist January 21st and Kansas Christian January 25th. A pair of games against Randall also await the women in the month of February as they play doubleheaders with the men February 8th and 20th.

It looks to be another loaded year for Men's and Women's Basketball. The season will be full of excitement and intrigue in both programs.
