Dallas, Tx - Tuesday night on the campus of Dallas Christian College proved to be an exciting one in a four set contest with #6 Randall University (Moore, Ok). The first set of the evening went to the visitors by the score of 13-25. In that first set the Lady Crusaders gave away 8 points in errors and could never get on track. As the second set began it looked to be more of the same, but the ladies would eventually get it going to the sum of 12 kills before falling 20-25. In the third set the girls played their best ball defeating the saints 25-16 by limiting errors and posting their best attack percentage of the night. As the fourth set went back and forth it looked as if the Lady Crusaders would force a deciding fifth set as they took a 3 point lead late. Randall would call a time out and rally to tie the score at 23. From there both teams went toe to toe before Randall took the set on an attack error for the deciding 27-25 win.
Although the Lady Crusaders took the loss progress was made. "I'm proud of how we fought," said Coach Little, "I think that we had some crucial errors where the ball didn't bounce our way, but it wasn't for a lack of effort. I'm proud of the girls and look forward to getting back to work." The Lady Crusaders have a brief break in the schedule before returning home next Tuesday, Sept. 25, as they host Jarvis Christian College out of the Red River Conference.
