Dallas, Tx - Tyese Little has stepped down from her position as the Head Volleyball Coach at Dallas Christian College effective immediately. Coach Little has been the coach of the Lady Crusaders program for the last 8 seasons and during that time was named NCCAA SW Region Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2015 and led her team to the NCCAA National Tournament in 2015. In that time she has been influential in not only the resurrection of the volleyball program, but also a stabalizing force for DCC Athletics in general.
"Coach Little is one of the coaches I inherited when I got here and I couldn't have been more blessed to have her on staff as an essential part of the athletic department. She did a great job leading our volleyball program by mentoring and leading the young women that she was coaching athletically and spiritually. We truly will miss having her on staff, but I'm excited to see what God does through her other roles on campus," commented Athletic Director Jordan Strom.
While Coach Little is stepping away from her role within athletics she will continue to work on campus as the Residence Director in Winslow Hall as well as the Office Manager in the admissions office.
"I have deeply valued and greatly enjoyed my experience as the Head Volleyball Coach for the past 8 years. I have appreciated the opportunity to rebuild the volleyball program, encourage young women in their relationship with Christ, lead a team to the NCCAA National Tournament and work with everyone at DCC. I have learned so much about leadership and mentorship, all of which I will take with me throughout my career and in to other areas at Dallas Christian College," said Coach Little.
